The launch of India's low-cost car at just 2,500 dollars points the way to a higher standard of living for the billions of people in the developing world but at the price of increased pollution, congestion and energy consumption. The nano-car's molecular motor contains a pair of bonded carbon molecules that rotate in one direction if illuminated by a specific wavelength of light. After fixing the molecular engine to the car's chassis and shining a light on it, engine was running by using nuclear magnetic resonance to monitor the position of the hydrogen atoms within it.The rngine consist of 623 cc two-cylinder petrol engine from aluminum. Conventional engines are made from cast iron, adding weight as well as cost to the car. "Being smaller and lighter, the cost was lower," .The engine being lighter and placed at the rear of the car put less pressure on the steering systems, which allowed for more cost savings. As a result, there was no requirement for a link between the engine and the rear wheels. This car would revolutionalise manufacturing. The ‘Dream Car’ can boast of being the cheapest car in the world. Tata said that most of the problems have solutions. Despite all odds, despite all criticism the rupees one lakh people’s car is finally here and will usher in a new revolution in car manufacturing worldwide. Here is an Indian feat, we all can be proud of!
